Fall Greetings from Tetu!
I hope you are enjoying some fall weather-The past couple of weeks here in MN have been beautiful-Better than the September and October that we had at Tetu, anyway!
Ed is back from his hunting in South Dakota and we are finished with the new brochure. We should be getting it out within the next couple of weeks, so we hope you all enjoy it!
Holiday plans include a trip to the Ft. Myers, Fl area to spend Thanksgiving with our oldest son J.B. and family. We'll also make a quick stop in the Orlando area to see Ed's sister. It will be nice to be back in Florida, as it's been 4 years since we moved back to MN from there. We plan on a quiet Christmas, with just the two of us here at home in Minneapolis.
It sounds like the H1N1 really hit hard with many of our staff after they left Tetu and headed back to Quebec! They even canceled Halloween out there!
Our dogs, Caliber, Cooper and Muskie are adjusting to being back home. It's such a change for them from Tetu, as it's quiet here and they aren't able to run free like they can do at Tetu Island. Cooper went hunting with Ed and did very well for his second time. Caliber is a different story and we decided to keep her home with Muskie and I!
Aside from getting the new brochure ready, it's been a quiet time for Tetu. It usually is during the two holiday months. We hope the phone will start ringing at the beginning of the New Year with reservations. After a tough couple of seasons, we are hoping that this coming season will be a busy and prosperous year for Tetu! Even through this difficult economy, we are so grateful for all our loyal guests and friends for their support. We're so lucky to be able to continue to do what we both love, and that is running Tetu Island Lodge and spending time with all of you!
We've had to trim our sport show budget and drop a few shows, but hope to still attend Chicago and Minneapolis after the first of the year. Ed is usually in the "discount" mood during these shows, so make sure you find time to visit the Tetu booth if you are near these cities during the show!
Ed and I wish you all a VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING! We hope you are able to spend time with family and friends during this very busy time of year! We're looking forward to hearing from you soon and hope we can reserve time for you at Tetu for 2010! Book NOW to get the 2009 pricing!
Your Tetu Friends!
