Fall greetings from Tetu!
Even though the calendar SAYS it is fall, you would never know it up here! In fact yesterday I think we might have hit 80 degrees again. Strange weather here at Tetu this season-
I was in the states a little longer than planned, as we found out our oldest son, J.B. from FL was coming to town so I stayed and spent some quality time with the three kids. It was awesome and I am sorry Ed had to miss it, we had many laughs and fun! The wedding I attended last weekend was memorable, and we wish our good friends Matt and Kristine the very best. What a beautiful day it was for the two of them and their families. Matt and his family have been Tetu friends and visitors for over ten years and I was so pleased to be included on their special day. I went with daughter Kate and her boyfriend Thad and we really enjoyed this blessed event! The best man's speech was the BEST, as he talked about their time here at Tetu together!

We have had some incredible fall fishing these past two weeks and I apologize if I missed anyone or had you in the wrong group! That's what happens when I am not here! I'm sorry I missed the Alliance Laundry group and the Electrolux group!
We have the Vaccaro Group here, as well as the Risenhoover and Whitney groups. We will have one more group to welcome for this season, Mike Hamel, who comes in next week.
Ed and I want to thank you all so much for this season. During this difficult economic time we have been so fortunate to host so many of you and it means so much to both of us that you continue to choose Tetu Island Lodge for your fishing adventures! You have all been so generous with our staff and they thank you so very much. We're down to just Sak, Amanda, Mitch, Todd and Jason so we're also busy closing up cabins, pulling boats and getting Tetu Island ready for the winter. We had such an easy, calm and trouble-free year with this year's staff and we will welcome them all back for next season.
All said, I feel this past season at Tetu was a very positive thing-even though Mother Nature was a little confused this summer, the fishing stayed VERY consistent and we had some incredible fish caught and released! Thank you to ALL of you who visited us, who continue to release these fish BACK into the system for the future!
I'll blog again before we finish up here at Tetu. We still have many things to do before we leave and we'll be here another couple of weeks. Talk to you all soon!!!
